The “Angels in Red Berets” , ARVN Paratroop Rifle Companies often deployed independently into the field, and had to be self reliant, capable of any contingencies and rapidly mobile by foot. The paratroops had a historically good relationship with the Montagnard peoples in the Highlands and would often work well alongside CIDG Units.
