March 2026 , Flashpoint Miniatures closing for a few weeks.

Hi all , I hope this finds you well and happy . The year of the ‘Fire-Horse’ is already charging ahead unrestrained .

I am taking the chance with current events to close up Flashpoint Miniatures for a few weeks , at least until May / June 2026 . We will see what is happening with the price of postage , transport and the basic raw materials I need (like pewter , plastics, and rubbers ) and make a decision to re-open when the economic landscape looks more viable .

I’ve been running and developing Flashpoint Miniatures for about thirteen years now , through fires, floods, plagues, pandemics , thieving contractors , giant pythons, overseas wars , US tariffs , postage mayhem , oil shocks , technology revolutions , IP theft , counterfeiters , computer hackers , wargaming “influencers” who believe I should give them freebies of my Company product because they have just started a blog-page . … actually I don’t mind the giant pythons .

In a rare moment of me bitching , I would also like to thank the many “friends” of Flashpoint Miniatures who I have encountered along the way . Thankyou for your custom , support , advice and “comradely good fellowship” along this path . I’ve met some really solid people in this role who will remain friends for this lifetime no matter what happens.

Wargamers are mostly a unique type of person who have a passion for their chosen niche (s) of history and politics , and further insights into areas of technological innovation , economics , leadership and geography ; BUT often have the rare ability to see complex problems from multiple perspectives . The great strength of ‘gaming’ solutions is asking difficult questions like “what if” and having the tools to model novel answers .

This is a great cognitive skill that should be developed and sharpened if you are able to get your head around it. . Don’t let multifactorial thinking and complex problem solving become a dying artform , let alone trust it to a household electrical appliance . Thinking is your most powerful tool to problem solving (the basis of “human intelligence”) , …. master your tools .

all the best
