Hi all !
Nearly to the end of July in 2025 ! , I’ve had the shop closed for a short while as I have been hosting successive waves of visitors and getting out to do some overdue visiting of old friends and family myself .
Our youngest daughter is now also away at Uni (“College” in American) so after establishing her at her new interstate locale , my wife and I are through to the ‘empty nester’ stage of life . With the occasional sleep-in to prove it .
We’ve had a monster year already even without visitors. No sooner had we established our youngest away at Uni , but we had a cyclone (southern hemisphere typhoon) hit our area and it seemed like it didn’t stop raining for months after this, with a few wild storms thrown in . Luckily we enjoy the rain , and there has been just enough sunshine to stop us turning “feral” . (‘Florida man’ in American)
Thankyou again for your ‘comradely good fellowship” , discussions, sharing, and even a few concerns that I was washed away in the flooding in our area back there a few months . No , we are all good , and have had an excellent few months of catching up with people including some of my oldest gaming friends.
The break away from the shop has left me looking forward to taking the wheel again . I’ve got a few orders already waiting for me to pack and post , but this will happen fairly quickly after a recent restock and cleanout / stocktake of the packing shed shelves .
I hope you are in a good time and place and have the capacity to get some painting done and get a few games in . I am looking forward to getting more games on the table myself as the dust settles .
