FoW are having a big release of Viet figures from March (not much of a "rumour" I know). Hopefully FP will be able to piggy back on this.

Hi Smee ! Yes I am aware of this (I think it was you who I learned this from in December last year)..bring it on !

I understand amongst other things, BF are planning on doing a OH6 'Loach' ...this has long been the Holy Grail for me as a 15mm 'Vietnam' wargamer. I'm keen to see it happen !
I understand they might be doing a range of Soviet vehicles also ... Awesome ! We will just have to wait and see !

I am keen to see what they might do with their new rules also ... I've played Tropic Lightning rules a bit and enjoyed them...(I've not played a FOW WW2 game!..I think I am the only one on the planet)..so am keen to see if/how they will develop them further. I am a believer that BF have put 'Historical Gaming' back on the table, ...so big respect !

Looking forward to see what happens !

I can't wait for Centurions to be out.

Home is where you dig it.

Yeehah ! There's some nice-looking heavy metal here ! I already own about eight T54's but looks like I need another five. I think two (of my older ones) just got reassigned to conversion to bridge-layers.

Yes! I am also keen to see how the Centurion comes out. There was a pic of one being painted on a blog in December last year ...I'll try to find it .

Might need to find that Tamiya UH-1B kit that has the option for SS11 ATGW ...yeah ! that might become useful soon.

Better get our 106mm recoilless Rifles out of the armoury ... all the anti-armour platoons have been converted to recon platoons ...who woulda thought ?

Whats the difference between a T54 and a T55 ? It's just they look the same to me (minus the fuel tanks)

Hi Smee ! I Think the T54 was a first-production-model of the T55 . When the T54 (as replacement MBT for the T34) was upgraded (in lots of areas)it became the 'T55'. One of the upgrades was a simple fire-stabilisation that required a counterbalance on the end of the barrel. Later experience dictated a fume extractor be included to the main gun and it was placed on the end of the barrel and removed the need for the counter weight.
...So the T54 doesn't have this counterweight/fume extractor on the end of the barrel, and the T55 does.

That might be a bit rough with the history but I think it is something like that. The T54 factories where likely sold by the Russians to China who continued making them long after the rest of the Warsaw Pact had upgraded to the T55.
